Nothing is new

This reminds me that nothing anymore is original: everything is a copy of a copy of a copy. No matter how hard we try, everything has been done at this point and we can only reduce, reuse and recycle to come up with something "new". Quite the environment-friendly behavior, I should say. If only we could apply this to our consumption and excesses...

I heard this song over and over. First in a TV network's promo for a new segment and next in today's late afternoon trip to the store for food. I made sure to catch the important words in the lyrics so I can search it when I got back. Because the first attempt wasn't successful but rather funny as I "heard" the wrong words. "Oh, oh, sometimes, I can't believe..." LOL Yeah, I hear things that way. I should probably get my ears checked is something anyone would advise me. But I got a better idea: have myself checked for whatever...

I found this to be a very catchy song. Until the part where I am forced to hear Flo Rida with his rap/adlib stuff. It's a mixed emotions kind of thing for me. Not that I have something against rap music or what, but his style is something I've never gotten used to, much less appreciate. But I do appreciate the fact that he went into research and pored over the production to create this. I'm not even sure what to call it, but whatever. And I love his Tron bike! I wish I could test drive one!

So, I also did my research. I thought Flo Rida was so creative and resourceful but he forgot to credit Avicii in this bit. The catchy part there was actually Avicii's track called "Levels", which, by the way, is also a sampling of Etta James' "Something's Got a Hold of Me". I've been mentally LOL-ing out loud. Get that. LOL-ing out loud. I guess redundancy nowadays is the best policy.

Anyway, what this song did to me is awaken the trance and house music lover in me. I find it to be relaxing and it lets me get into my flow. And its just really nice...

I got a good feeling that I never never never had before no no.. Especially when I found Avicii's track posted below:

This next one's the original.

Lovely to have this song to keep me company as I may be going down with a full blast fever tonight. I hope to feel better as soon as tomorrow.

I have been musing over this idea lately. I was wondering if I can say or do anything that has never been done before. haha (S.I.S. gyud?) I have left my question unanswered. But there you go and hit me with your first sentence to get me out of denial. :) Thanks for the songs, dear! I appreciate the tracing you've done!
